My husband and I are both American citizens. However before we married last year, my husband was a resident of Spain. He would like for us to move back to Spain. He often intimates that men have more legal "power" over their wives in Spain... Is there anything I need to know about differences in legal or cultural attitudes towards women? He has also suggested that if we have children while we are there, I would not be able to bring them back to the US if we were to separate or divorce....I am just curious and would like to shut him and his misogynist ramblings down with some "facts" (however anecdotal) and/or protect myself.
