Confused non delivery of goods

Hello I have just found this forum and wonder if anyone can give advice.
I started a transaction to purchase some used construction machinery of of a company eegistered in singapore. I credit checked the company and verified the company as a legitamte entitiy. so we did a deal where I would deposit 50% of the monies and the remainder on bill of laden. this is a method we have used many times without problem. Im now three months on and we havnt had the bill of lade I have talked to the director on a couple of occasion where he gives me excuses about shiping problems But most of the time he ignores my calls or someone tells me he will call me Back and he doesnt . this is very frustrating as you can imagine. I am now at a stage wher I have to move things on as I have a lot of money tied up on this machinery and the delay is causing financial grief to my company.
Does anyone have any ideas on what my next move should be ?
many thanks
Phil

Default Re: non delivery of goods

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior...The court may let you file locally since it was all done on the Internet. And you may file a police report for fraud if you suspect outright fraud. Fraud frankly seems possible here. If need world law's lawyers can also track the seller down, prosecute and collect though they do charge a basic fee for that. WLD has over 380 lawyers in the group covering 26 countries --
