Lightbulb Billing in US or Dubai

I have a LLC in US and Dubai. Do I need to have only one LLC if I am working in that country - Dubai. Should I close down the LLC in US if I am not living in the US in the mean time? However, I do travel to the US to do consulting work therefore should I continue to keep the LLC in the US for billing purpose or should I do all billing from Dubai. Please help!!

You can have one; you are not required to have an LLC in both locations.

But this will more based on where you are resident and where you work and file taxes etc. You should have an entity in your primary location or make sure you pay yourself from that entity and file your taxes on that...

As to any US obligations, you may also check with the IRS directly; or your accountant; or the H & R Block web site for 20 dollars: HR Block Tax Advisor link --

Thank you for your advice. Just two more questions, can I have my company in the US setup just for billing purpose so that when I am here in the US working on project, my client from the US can only bill to the my company in the US or should I have them bill to Dubai. Second, if I plan to keep my company in the US, can I just create the company using just a PO Box (just for the sake of billing only). I am a US resident doing business in Dubai.
