Cool short term disability question

I have short term disability thru my employment, I also have wage loss insurance with my auto insurance. My employment is telling me that I can not claim short term disability since I have wage loss insurance. I have been off work due to an auto accident since 8/30/07. My auto insurance is telling me that this insurance doesn't affect my short term thru my job. Who is right? And what are my rights?

Default Re: short term disability question

Have your insurer review the claims with the employer.

You normally cannot collect more in total than you would get paid if working--but the priority of how payments are made can vary.
