I have short term disability thru my employment, I also have wage loss insurance with my auto insurance. My employment is telling me that I can not claim short term disability since I have wage loss insurance. I have been off work due to an auto accident since 8/30/07. My auto insurance is telling me that this insurance doesn't affect my short term thru my job. Who is right? And what are my rights?

Have your insurer review the claims with the employer.
You normally cannot collect more in total than you would get paid if working--but the priority of how payments are made can vary. |
