Here is my question: I live in Wisconsin. I currently have health insurance, but my exboyfriend, who is the father of the baby that I'll be having in May, does not. He is, however, offered insurance through his employer. He has chosen not to take it because it is so expensive. What I'm wondering is, after the baby is born, is he required to take the health insurance that is offered to him so that the baby is covered under his insurance also? Or is it always just going to be me being responsible for healthcare? I can't ask him what he plans on doing because we're not speaking to one another; childish, I know, but he was threatening me, so I just stopped acknowledging him and it's been working pretty good for the past few days now... Anyway, I guess that I'm just wondering if he's going to have to help with the healthcare costs of our child, as far as the birthing costs, and the healthcare of our baby. Thank you for your time.

If you get a court order for support, it would likely include insurance.
