When did you know that malpractice or negligence contributed or caused your grievances? Was fraud or a cover up involved? What State are you from?

We suspected it at the time of death but never did investigate till now. And it appears there were suspicious notes, edits etc.

Time may have run--you have sue within 2 or 3 years normally.

But have an injury lawyer review all details carefully. If fraud or concealment etc. occurred you might still be able to act.

There is and that time limit is referred to as the statute of limitations. Failure to file suit within this time frame prevents you from filing suit at all. An action for medical malpractice must be brought within two years after the date the injury and its causes were known or should have been known with the exercise of reasonable diligence.
