bluecross and common law spouse question
does blue cross blue shield have to offer benefits and cover a common law
spouse? taxes are filled jointly and listed as married since feb 2008....lived together 10 years...recognized in public as husband and wife this is in the state of alabama Last edited by cin : Jul 14th, 2008 at 01:31 PM. Reason: needed to add state |

You would have to call your BCBS plan and ask them, but I doubt it. You could also ask your HR person at your job as well- if they are covered on your policy, you would be paying a higher premium. So, if you are only paying a premium for "employee only", then no, your significant other is not covered on your policy.
