Confused Insurance Locked account

My wife and I are separated at the moment and when I called one day to inquire about new insurance options I mentioned this in passing and then when I called again two days later I was told my account was locked. My wife doesn't drive either car on the policy, but they said they couldn't take the chance of being sued if she was in accident in either car and that I wasn't allowed to do anything to my account except pay my bill. I called the insurance board to see if this was legal and they said it wasn't on the books anywhere and was probably an internal choice by the company, but that it didn't break any laws. All I have to do is supposedly get my wife to send in the insurance from her truck to prove she has insurance. Simple enough?! Ha. My wife says she did, but she hasn't. I have no idea where she is and haven't seen her in 3 months. I could save about $125 a month if I could change my policy. I can't even cancel my account and start a new one elsewhere because they won't let me. If I chose to remove the authorization for automatic monthly withdrawl, besides canceling my account which is what I want, is there any legal action they can take against me?

Default Re: Insurance Locked account

You can drag her into small claims or other court and sue her for the costs if she will not be reasonable.

Once you move into divorce court (if you do) a judge will resolve these issues once and for all.
