My husband was fell while cutting down his uncle's tree and broke his back. My husband was air lifted to the hospital, spent 7 days in the hospital, is having to see a spinal nuerosurgeon to check on his healing progress in our home state of KS. As my husband is self-employed, we are "surving" on my income alone.
His uncle's insurance is claiming that they only have to pay the $1000 medical toward the hospital bill. Is this correct? Is there anything we can do? |

You could try to sue the uncle and his insurer if you wish, arguing they should pay for any and all medical costs, and even lost wages etc. You may need to have counsel become involved to maximize your odds and to make sure the case is sound based on all the facts.
