Can a police dept be responsible for injury?
I received info from my insurance company that I was involved in two separate car accidents just minutes apart. I was charged with DUI at 2nd accident where there was property damage and injuries to both another driver and myself. Two different police depts were called to these separate accidents and according to the reports, they were only minutes apart. Was the first police officer at first accident negligent in letting me leave that scene to travel on and cause the 2nd accident?

Sounds like he was given what you did, but you are not likely to be able to take action against them for that.
