Confused Pain and Suffering

I am currently going through a claim process with a retailer because I fell in their store and the claims person asked me "How much I feel I deserve for pain and suffering". I am stumped on how to gage that or what monetary value to place on that.

Please help.

A very rough guide is sometimes two or three times medical costs.

Consult a lawyer...they are asking you to get away with as little as possible.

Unfortunately I have had to deal with family in situations of injury...and its well worth the lawyers fees for piece of mind....What if your injury causes problems in the future? If you settle now you may be up the creek then without a lawyers help.

There is a reason for professionals... you don't do surgery yourself. You don't rebuild an engine yourself....don't do this yourself. Doesn't mean you have to go after tonnes of money...just means you are looking after yourself.
