Is the school district allowed to reassign me to a different school if an investigation is still going on in a worker's compensation claim where I got injured at work due to an assault by my manager (she pushed a lunchcart into me and now half of my body is bruised)? I reported this issue to the local school union but they say that the school district has a right to reassign me to a different school, the school's claim could be that they want to avoid any further confrontations happening between me and the manager in charge. I filed a police file as well. Would it help to proceed with prosecution with the police to charge the manager that injured me (my feeling is intentionally)?

It seems that there is nothing wrong in reassigning you to a different school while an investigation on worker’s compensation is going on. School is taking such a step as a precautionary measure. The investigation on worker’s compensation will go as such, but you have all the right to report any latches on the investigation to the concerned authorities. As you filed police complaint police will investigate the case and charge the manager if they found her guilty. But remember you have to adduce all the evidence to the police ,so that they can investigate the case effectively.
