Hello Friends,
Best just to inform the health dept--you will not be able to sue unless you are injured; and tell the truth 100% as it is crime to even say anything untrue about these types of situations.
Gud Luck!!!!!

That has happened several times.

Apart from the normal hairs that you get every now and again - I find that restaurants frequently like to put bacon in things without telling you on the menu.

Hey! Other McDonald's victims. Here is the 100% accurate e-mail I sent them last night after a god awful experience. If anyone here has a valid opinion on whether or not I have a case, please let me know. I'm not sue-happy, and I hate those types of people, but this was seriously disturbing and will easily effect me for the rest of my life. The letter went as follows.....

I went through the drive through (I have the receipt) at about 2:00pm today. I got the Southern Style Chicken Sandwich combo. Now, I don't eat fast food usually more than once a week. I know I shouldn't eat it at all, but despite the obvious reasons for avoiding it, I do anyway. I've also heard the horror stories/what I previously thought were urban legends, and ignored them completely.

So after I got home, I ate a few fries, had a sip of my coke, and then began to eat the sandwich. I took ONE bite, and before I chewed the chunk of 'chicken' in my mouth, I briefly glanced down at the rest of the sandwich in my hand. I immediately threw up, and then after I emptied my stomach of 100% of it's contents, continued to dry-heave for several minutes. I have never seen anything so disgusting in my life. It was black, DEFINITELY not chicken meat, dark or white, especially from the breast area, and looked something like liver sausage. My mother was visiting at the time and I learned after the fact that the entire piece I bit off and then spit back out right before I threw up in my living room, was the exact same thing I saw in the sandwich. It happened really fast, but I don't remember seeing any white meat that I could discern as being actual chicken itself. To say it's an image that will be forever burned into my subconscious is an understatement.

I called the location I got it from immediately, and then after brushing my teeth to get rid of the taste of vomit, drove back there. I described what happened to the manager and she tried to take the food away from me, which she didn't, and I still have it. I got a refund and she filled out a generic note with my name, address and phone number. According to her, a 'corporate person' is supposedly calling me, the store manager, and possibly the insurance company is calling me too. Under the advice of my attorney, I'm taking the sandwich to the health department tomorrow, and hopefully will find out exactly what you served me.

Needless to say I will never eat McDonalds, or any other fast food again for the rest of my life. I also don't see myself ever eating chicken again, or any processed food in general. I just tried to make PLAIN WHITE RICE, NINE HOURS LATER, and threw up because I can't get the image of whatever was in that sandwich, out of my head. I've been randomly dry heaving all day, which makes my stomach feel amazing. It's a safe bet that this incident is going to be a life long behavior changer. I don't see how I will ever be able to eat anything again without inspecting it first in a manner that isn't eerily similar to obsessive compulsive disorder (thanks guys!). Veganism is always an option too.... I guess..

I work for a local health department in Illinois and I am going to reiterate what others are saying. If you didn't get injured or sick, you probably don't have a case. Call the local health department and file a complaint. Most health departments don't take samples of food unless a food-borne illness has been proven through stool samples of the sick. So, if you did get sick, be prepared to poop in a cup. Trust me, it is much more embarrassing and disgusting for the health department person receiving your "cup-o-poo", than it is for you. Like injuries, PROVEN food-borne illness can be the grounds for payment of medical bills, lost wages and pain and suffering.

you didn't receive any injury on that matter, then don't bother yourself charging them.. It's not gonna work...

Hi,
I have been searching the net and finally found this thread. This is probably going to sound stupid but here it goes. I went to walmart a couple weeks ago and purchased spaghetti noodles and chunky veggi sauce. When I went to cook this for supper I cooked the noodles and heated the sauce in a seperate pan and poured it over the top of the pasta. I have a young child and was getting ready to make his plate when i decided to take a bite out of the pan to make sure it wasn't too hot for him or still cold. I spooned up sauce with what appeared to be zuchinni and tomatoes. As I went to chew I bit down on something pretty hard and upon spitting it out I discovered it was a ROCK. This was a good size rock not just a pebble it was around the size of a nikel or something of that size. There is no way that this could have come out of the spaghetti noodles as they were in a box but I took them out and broke them. I am guessing that when they pulled or picked the veggies that it was picked up with them?? not for sure how it came to be in my jar of pasta sauce but I am very upset. I think that I may lightly chipped a back tooth, but my teath are not in the best condition back there d/t alot of dental work. So not really concerned over that because I doubt they could prove that the chip came from the sauce and not something else. But I am concerned that had I of not ate the first bit that it would have been on my 3 year olds plate and he would have ended up eating it and breaking a tooth or choking. I emailed the main office for the store it was purchased at and they directed me to the company that actually makes this. Now the store says it is the other companies problem now and the company that made it is just wanting to get the jar and rock. They said that if I had dental problems that were due to the rock if the rock came out of the jar then they would cover what my insurance company wouldn't cover. I do have a $1500 cap on my insurance anyway. Do I have rights to any other type of compensation? I think that the fact that my son could have ate it and been hurt or possibly more then they should have to do something. I think that they are just wanting to get the jar and rock back and act like nothing has happened. Please let me know what you think and if I have any type of case.
Thanks
