will insurance pay for funeral costs

my brother received lifetime medical benefits from a court due to an injury which occurred while working. he has recently passed away due to the injury for which he was awarded lifetime benefits. because his death was directly related to the injury, would it be possible to be reimbursed for funeral expenses from the insurance company. thanks
