Can an employer direct you medical treatment under the Virginia Worker's Compensation
Virginia
I was injured at work, another employee dropped a heavy amount of material on my foot. I have been out of work for two weeks, I have also been to a physician twice for my injury. After the second visit to the doctor's, they referred me to a pediatrist. The know injuries are, a torn ligament and an apparent sprain. There are no apparent breaks in my x-rays, although they have not been viewed by a radiologist. Now that I have been referred to a specialist, my employer wants to transport me to my appointment and attend my doctors visit. Is this legal? Can you please help me out with more information on this? I cannot find any. Thank you so much. |

They are not entitled to sit in on your visit but they can help transport you.
