The Fourth of July brings bright lights, loud noises and oohs and ahhs to thousands in Mason County each year. Unfortunately, the holiday can also bring fireworks-related injuries.

The best defense against a fireworks-related injury is to follow the state’s laws regarding what types of fireworks are allowed and who is allowed to use and possess them.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen. After all, what harm can a sparkler do?
