Someone has had slip & fall accident resulting in break of the wrist. The accident happened at a watery area of a business. That required hospitalization, surgery, extended medical care and therapy, time off from work, and high chance of losing his job if the recovery makes it difficult to return to work for over 2 months. Do I contact the injured person's health insurance ASAP to get their advice or is it best to 1st go to a slip & fall lawyer instead? Do I even need to contact the business to ask them to pay for the cost of medical and therapy treatment? Or should it be best left to a legal professional? Since 911 was called, and a lot of people were around, I would say that there was enough evidence of slip and fall. |

I would suggest that you seek the assistance of a lawyer and not a health insurance company.

It is obvious the business is liable in this slip and fall situation! If the floor was wet and they didn't take care of it, then for sure, they are liable.
My advice is to immediately go to an attorney. There are many attorneys who will take a "slip and fall" case. The fact 911 was called and there were many witnesses makes such a case very appealing to most attorneys. |

Yes hire a personal injury lawyer. But before you hire you must get the written agreement and guarantee from the lawyer. this will make you feel free.

Sometimes just because you fall doesn't mean that you can automatically sue the owner of the property. You have to be able to prove that there was negligence involved. Which it sounds like there probably was. With all the witnesses around, did you get the names of any of them? I to would agree with the others, it sounds like you need an experienced Slip and Fall Lawyer. I would suggest you contact Injury Alliance - Your Source for Legal and Healthcare Professionals They helped me after my car accident. They will put you in contact with a lawyer knowledgeable in slip and falls, someone who will work for you, not someone who just wants the money.
