Default Is it legal to fire someone when they get injured at work?

Yes, completely legal. If the company doctor was unable to provide treatment, then the company doctor could have transferred him to the emergency room. He was fired for disobeying the rule of for violating an order from his supervisor.

If the injury was work related, you could not fire someone from sustaining such injuries. However, if the injury is not work related and it gets in the way of his/her work then you may fire him/her.

If that person is not able to do his work then the firm can fire that person. But the firm can shift him to other departments where he can work efficiently. But if condition is too bad then the firm can hire someone from his family. But in any case the firm has to give compensation to that person.
