Question Need Law Suit Info

I want to sue my employer for negligence that has caused me a permanent career ending injury. I filed notification with the HR Dept. and I need to know if I should speak with the company's work comp dept. to file a claim or wait to speak to an attorney. The work comp dept. has contacted me. What do I tell Them?
Thanks

It may be helpful at this point to review the situation with an injury attorney at this point so that you may consider all of your options with the benefit of legal advice.
