Illinois - My friend's elderly father was injured at a McDonald's restaurant. (He was scalded by hot coffee.) I think the restaurant is "independently owned and operated." If my friend's father sues the restaurant and loses the suit, what is the risk that the judge would order him to pay the defense's legal costs? (I would imagine such costs could easily run into the tens of thousands of dollars!)
Thanks, in advance, for responding. |

That will not happened unless the suit is frivolous.
If the case is decent truly, an injury lawyer will take the case. |
