My boyfriend and I were on our way to my house when as we were crossing the street, he fell into one of those holes that normally have the top on them I called the ambulance because he could not move of fthe ground,he was taken to the hospital and was treated for a sprained snkle, he has a small cut where his knee banged the ground and a scrape down his leg showing ho far down in the hole he went. One of the medics said if something serious was wrong, he could probably be compensated, however, before we could take actual pictures of the hole, it was reported and covered up, and even the medic said he had never seen that before. Does my boyfriend have a case, if so, what would be the next step?

In my opinion you are looking for an easy lawsuit. Granted a hole should not have been left uncovered, it is unlikely there is much to be had. Your boyfriend scraped his leg, sprained his ankle... not that I'm discounting sympathy, but so what?? Growing up, I've scraped my leg and sprained my ankle in my parent's yard, and even as an adult, yet don't seek "damages."
Yea it hurts, but suck it up.
