Hello all, I recently hurt myself at work (i was off the clock, though i was lifting the bay door) and after returning to work 3 days later, I was perminantly relocated, was demoted from manager position, dropped to 5 days instead of 6, and my commission was cut in half. I have thrown my back out at least 3 or 4 times over the last year, but never really went after treatment (visit the chiropractor on a regular basis). Now that my pay has literally been cut in half, things aren't looking so well. Are they legally allowed to cut my pay in half like this? Thanks for any advice

Not solely for injury or disability...
You could consult your nearest Department of Labor office to briefly discuss the issue with them first...you may also want to ask the company to put what is happening in writing and explain to them that you may have attorneys review the situation...try speaking to a higher level of management about the issue; they may override the other managers. If none of these efforts resolves the issue, let us know. |
