Default abetement to suicide: friend left a suicide note accusing her boyfriend

hi
a friend of mine comitted suicide and has left a suicide note accusing her boyfriend. she has described the torture she suffered over a period of months because of him in her note. her family want to start legal proceedings and press charges against her boyfriend. the problem is there is no solid evidence against him , any photographs execpt for some messages exchanged between them. how far will they be useful? does it stand a chance in the court of law in prosecuting him?
thanks for any replies.

Not likely.

She should have left him or called the police.

You could have filed a police case against her boyfriend by using these evidences. If the police would register the case and investigate properly, you will get more evidence and will get the actual cause for the death of your friend. Before you start any legal proceedings lets consult with a criminal lawyer in your locality so that he can guide you properly in this regard.
