Possible side effects which were expected were:
More and better gay forums would come up enabling gays to have more open relationships (not yet happened);
More consideration and understanding towards gay relationships in society (not yet happened);
Gay relationships would enrich culture and society by their sheer beauty;
Bolder children would force the more shy and gentle ones into homosexual relationships in schools (strange to say, but this should happen if society is to progress. Use of force is sometimes justified in order to bring about drastic but much-needed changes in culture. Children can and should be the most effective harbingers of change);
Lesbian marriages (one of the most beautiful relationships);
If legalization of homosexuality leads to too much promiscuity, it could lead to spread of HIV infection, instead of making our culture more beautiful.
