Unhappy Property Dispute

A person purchased one Farm land near Davanagere ( karnataka) around 1910s (Date is not sure)
He died in 1930. He had one Son and one Daughter.
After his death his son cultivated the land for time and the son died in 1960. The Son was unmarried and hence he had no issues. The Daughter was married but she hasd no issues.
After the death of Son, the only Daughter managed the farm land. She was married and her husband died before her death. After some years, the Daughter was not able to manage the farm since she was too old. Since she has no nearest relatives, she handed over the farm to court of wards Bangalore, to manage the land.
In year 1980 she died without having any issues.

Now the distant relatives have statred to claim the property and there are disputes among them as to who is nearest relative to the daughter.

Now My question is

The succession to the property has opened up when the daughter has died 1980.
So if any body wants to claim the farm land, whether they should prove that they are the nearest relatives of the orignal propertus or to the daughter ?
I mean if they want to prove the succession which would be more appropriate ?
Relatives of the orignal propertus( His uncles grand children) or relatives of the daughter who ultimately enjoyed the property when the succession opned (Daughters husband side) ?

( Daughters husband side -- VS -- orignal property owners uncles grand children )

From where does the succession starts ?

Please guide me in this regards.
Thankssss a lot in advance

Default Re: Property Dispute

Unfortunately if no papers were filed over time then all parties can make a claim. The original owners' issue --and -- the issue of the daughter that may have acquired the property by her long term use and occupation.
