doubt in constitutional law..please help!
hi,
is the legislative power of enacting a law regarding prohibition and regulation of smoking only with the state legislature?(say under entry 6 of the State List) does the term 'drug' include tobacco? also i need help regarding any cases which were registered against the THE CIGARETTES AND OTHER TOBACCO PRODUCTS (PROHIBITION OFADVERTISEMENT AND REGULATION OF TRADE AND COMMERCE, PRODUCTION, SUPPLYAND DISTRIBUTION) ACT, 2003 ACT NO. 34 OF 2003 please help asap! thanks |

No--the feds can do so.
Yes tobacco is now a drug in many jurisdictions. You can search cases at Legal Research, Forms and other Legal Information- Loislaw for 24 hours for a modest fee. But check the web first. |
