Confused Deposit to be encashed

Area of law: Property law
Country: United States of America
State: Ohio

Daughter migrated USA, married and became US citizen. Divorced, died issueless. Made bank Fixed Deposit with Indian Government owned Bank (SBI) in USA. Deposit Receipt is in IRS & held with SBI India. No legal nomination to Fixed Deposit. Deposit Receipt mailed to me by daughter, and held with me. We need the Deposit to be encashed, for which getting Succession Certificate is a must.

Question: As per Indian Law, petition for Succession Certificate in my favour has to be filed in the \"land of the deceased\'s domicile\":USA.

COMMENT: I am an old man lacking the means to travel to USA, or engaging an attorney there. No relatives, blood or otherwise, in USA.

WHAT DO I DO? Please, please advise this old man.

The embassy may help you file here, or connect you with expat groups that may help--or perhaps world law could do so for a modest fee. consider checking with your embassy firstly.
