Trying to cancel arranged marriage

I'm trying to opt out of an arranged marriage that was confirmed (no engagement, just word of mouth) three months ago. The wedding date hasnt been set and is tentatively planned for next year. During the past three months, I realised that I dont feel any connection with the girl and do not want to go ahead with the marriage. I spoke to the girl and parents about it and begged out but they will not let me cancel it.

My biggest concern is if the girl commits suicide. Will I be held for abettment of suicide? I'm being held hostage and forced into a marriage that I do not want.

If there is no express agreement or contract to marriage, then it will not be an actionable claim and she cannot initiate any legal action against you.
