I'm not sure who to talk to about this. I am married to a UK citizen and living in the UK .... I owe a federal student loan in the US that is in default. I received a message that a court order for garnishment has been issued in the US .... how does that affect my working status in the UK and can I be denied my visa extension because of it?

Normally no that will not affect your visa--that will be a civil matter.
Like any debt you may owe, |

It won't affect anything except your credit in America. The authorities in the UK don't take much that happens in America very seriously. I wouldn't worry about it.
