immigration
Facts:
> person entered the USA legally on a temporary visa (B1/B2) > decided to marry for convenience while visa was still valid and got busted. case was filed but person was not deported. > approx. 10 years later, nature took its course, a US citizen courted the person and both fell in love (for real) and eventually they got married. > approx. 15 years or so (to this date) they are still married and they own properties. Question: > What are the chances the person can make the stay legal? > What needs to be done? seekinganonymously |

What was done instead of deportation?
That could probably be resolved so that they can stay but make sure you have immigration legal counsel involved. |

there was no deportation order received by the person. the person just stayed in the US. if this would help, the person studied and finished a degree in the health field profession.

Hire immigration counsel and have the entire record cleared up.
It is very possible this can all be resolved but you should not try to proceed without a lawyer at this point. |
