F-1 - misdemeanor
I got a ticket for giving alcohol to a minor and charged $500. would that be ok for my future visa application?

Call the DA that was involved and see if it was a civil fine or a criminal charge in your case.

although i am not sure, i think it is a criminal charge because I was given a ticket by a alcohol beverage control officer. i just want to know what i can do now (other than tell me to get a lawyer)

It was a criminal charge. the ticket was given by a official agency
