Overstay in the United States... For how long am I banned?

hi, i have entered the united states dec 6th 2008 to visit a friend of mine and ended up falling in love and overstayed till dec 9th 2009 *sigh*.. i left the country on my own.. and when i got back to germany i found out what issues an overstay causes and that im banned now.. my question is for how long am i banned? where can i get infos on that? and is there anything i can do to enter the country again before my ban is over.. like pay a fee or something????

I wish to inform you that a 3 year or 10 year re-entry ban may be imposed upon you. In this regard, if over stay is for more than 6 months but less then 1 year it triggers a 3 year re-entry ban. If your overstay is for more than 1 year then 10 year re-entry ban may be imposed. Further, your overstay will count from the date your legal period of stay in the US came to an end. However, if you are eligible then you may apply for a waiver. If the waiver is granted, you may apply for a visa to visit USA.
