My husband is Canadian and came into the states as a visitor (we've been married for 7 years). We decided to adjust his status here, we already have the I-300 approval. So, he is lawfully in the US and will receive his green card within 6 months (God willing). So, I want to file an I-600A so that we can adopt a baby from Taiwan. However, we have no proof that he is in the US legally. Canadians don't get their passports stamps nor do they receive I-94s for visiting the US. Can I just write a affidavit? Let me know,
Thanks... Or do I have to wait until he gets his EAD or even his green card? |
