Default expiring I-94 and divorce

I am in the US on a B2 visa and have established residency for divorce purposes. My problem is that my extended I-94 is expiring in October and my divorce is still in process and no certainty as to when I will get a divorce decree - can I apply for another extension of stay and give the divorce proceedings as my reason? How will this affect any plans to marry a US citizen? Thank you for any help.

Many courts will not see a b-2 visit as establishing residency; what state are you doing this in? Is the divorce being contested?

For past 3 months I have been on B2 visa in Las Vegas, NV where I am completing a short culinary course (does not require an F1 visa). I intend to stay and marry my current boyfriend, who is a US citizen and NV resident. My husband and I are separated, not speaking for 4 years, so I can't tell if he will contest the divorce.
