Hi,
a friend of mine has an appointment at a state university as a visiting artist, and he has to apply for a J1 visa. Although the school is state sponsored, his funding does not come from the school funds. He's got some grants from a number of private organizations. Does anyone know if the 2-year rule apply? And also what should he put as his sponsor on the visa application to avoid any possible ambiguity and confusion about where the funding comes from ( the form usually asks: who is paying for you?) would be grateful for any advice |
