Default Request for Information

Hi - I am hoping somebody might be able to answer the following questions for me as the Homeland security website does not give me this information...

I will recently be starting a new job for an American company called Sabre and as part of my training and induction I will be required to travel to their office in Dallas for approximately one month before the end of this year. My permanent place of employement will however still be the UK. I am a UK citizen with a full UK passport however due to a criminal conviction in my past I do not qualify to travel under the visa vaiver programme.

1. Are there definitive convictions for which I will automatically be unable to travel to the US?

2. I did begin a visa application roughly 3 years ago when living in Dublin for a proposed holiday to the US. I did not complete this as the holiday did not go ahead and informed the US embassy in Dublin at the time that I did not wish to proceed. However I did receive the police certificates they had requested as part of the application process - Will I need to get a new up to date police certificate or can I use the existing one?

3. Is there anything specific I can take with me to my interview at the embassy in London or preparation I can carry out that will aid my visa application or speed the process up?

4. If I have to travel back to the US for annual meetings will I have to complete the visa application process each and evey time for each individual trip?

Many thanks
Dan...

Hi Dany,

As you are saying that you have some criminal conviction with your passport. Better you take the latest certificate from the police.
