Confused wants to teach in USA but my husband stays in CA illegally

i want to teach in USA but i am worried with my husband's overstaying in CA (5 years)... will this be a problem in the future...in what ways..please help me...

Normally if you are married to a US citizen that cures the overstay.

If you are both non US citizens then his overstay may prevent him from returning...for now anyway...or ten years...

He could seek pre-approval through a visa however.
