Default fiance visa

hello everybody,

my fiance and i have a fiancee visa.we had to fill out all the papers and it took a while.i live in austria he is american citizen. so far so good but then something was strange in his behavior and i asked him if there is another woman.what he denied. last june i got my visa in my passport and he had to send the final paper to the consulate to me which says that we are getting married bla bla bla and he had to have it stamped and signed by a notary.now i talked to a friend of him and that was weird because he mentioned that my fiancee maybe lives with another woman.so my question is now: isn´t that unlawfully ,i mean ther was no marriage but it was planned this september.he still say there is no other one.i stopped already talking to him only want to know what i could make in our case because of course i am in a shock and it hurts.and i also know that this is called life and this can happen.but how i see it if he lives with this other woman he gave wrong information to an american authority on purpose,no? maybe someone can bring light into to law jungle for me here.he also seemed very nervous when i mentioned going back to the consulate and have my visa canceled and suggested just to let it expire saying if i want to cuawe him troubles now.what kind of troubles would that be? i only thought about doing this because it is painful memory to me which i dont wanna have anylonger.the visa expires in dec 2008.so i thought it is the best way for me to close the chapter and have it canceled.i can feel that something is wrong there.i just cant help it.
