I am a permanent resident in the US, I got my residency through my husband when we got married 5 years ago, we have a 2 year old daughter and now that we are having problems he has stated that if we split that he will get sole custody, by claiming that the marriage was only for GreenCard purposes only. Any advise?

He will not be able to do that. And even that threat borders on impermissible or illegal behavior,
Don't let that threat guide you. |
