American working for American Company in Mexico

I currently work full time on the sales team for a company based in Southern California with corporate headquarters in Massachusetts. I work from my home in Chicago. My fiance recently acquired a position teaching in Mexico City. The school will help her obtain a FM3 Visa with a work permit. However, my visa will be tied to hers and I will not have a work permit for Mexico.

There is the potential that my position with the company will change so that I can work part time for the tech support team handling all email communications.

Since I will remain and American citizen, working for an american company and doing all my work online, do I face any legal consequences by keeping the fact that I have moved to Mexico from the company I work for?

If I tell my management about my plans, does the corporation I work for face any legal difficulties by continuing to employ me as an american even though I'm living in Mexico?

If you are not doing any business in Mexico and do not fall under their rules as to when you are there doing business, then you can continue that kind of work.

You may eventually have tax obligations inside the country for residing there after a period of time,

You should have a professional review your details as well.
