Request for immediate action to save lives of hunger strikers

Dear Friend,
It is now 60 days past the day of the assault on Ashraf and as you are aware the 36 residents abducted by the Iraqi forces and hundreds of residents of Ashraf have since gone on hunger strike. Also tens of hunger strikers around the globe are protesting the same violation of human rights and crimes against humanity.
The condition of all hunger strikers has taken an expected deteriorating turn and there is a real worry that in the next few days some of them will lose their lives. Especially this ordeal is most acute for those abducted that are imprisoned in Diyala province in Iraq. Twice they have been ordered to be released by Iraqi court but the Iraqi government, playing into the hands of the fascist mullah’s in Iran, refuses to release them. These 36 lack any decent medical care and many of them have unhealed wounds on them and we are very afraid that they may not last much longer.
This is why we are imploring that you spend some of your precious time bringing this matter to
- your representative in the parliament of your country;
- the foreign minister of your country;
- your church or mosque or synagogue;
- any important friend or person that you know
and ask them to pressure the Iraqi and U.S. governments to act immediately and release the 36 prisoners. This is very urgent and we need something to be done in the next few days.
