Fiji military waits in vain for UN jobs from Tears for Fiji

The Fijilive report on the Fiji military waiting for a reply from the UN with regards to new overseas deployment is a total CELEBRATION for us law-abiding citizens who have no direct connection with Fiji's abusive military. We celebrate because although we may want to sympathise (although we won't) with the Fiji Peacekeepers Association for their strive to also ask the UN to rethink their stand as of now, we the law-abiding citizens of Fiji who get to earn a decent living by respecting other people's RIGHTS believe that what the UN has done is FOR THE COMMON GOOD FOR THOSE WHO PROMOTE THE IDEALS OF DEMOCRACY.

So, the bottom line is, if overseas deployment is the BE ALL AND END ALL of why you want to join the Fiji military, then DENYING YOU MILITARY OFFICERS THE RIGHT to participate in UN deployments is a good lesson for you guys to learn that BULLYING PEOPLE WITH YOUR GUNS is not a good thing, really. If you want to gain power, you have to earn it. And the only way to do that is to have democratic elections. Yes, democracy has its own inadequacies but it is still the wisest and best gain for everyone to have a win-win situation. As humans there will always be people who take advantage of the situation and in some cases that will lead to corruption, nepotism, etc but there are civil, democratic ways that have been set-up to deal with these issues. And COUP is NOT ONE OF THEM.

So, go UN! Keep up the DENIAL of Fiji soldiers to join new peacekeeping missions. How stupid of them to try and think they can go and keep peace for others, when at home they're the ones trashing everyone else's determination and strive to have peace.

You can't have EVERYTHING YOUR OWN WAY. Now, that Voreqe is learning that HE IS DEFINITELY NOT AN ISLAND TO HIMSELF, the begging is just so sweet to see! Oh my!
Sweet revenge, as the saying goes. And for those of us who wait...again...

GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT!

I write this best wishes for you all on this day as we remember Fiji become out of being colony and the chiefs and the people of Fiji accepting, this anointed responsibility from the Prince of wales on behalf of her mother the Majesty the Queen.

I remembered under the clock of the Government building,I stood there watching the RFMF conduct their order of respect past the Dignitaries and the people of Fiji.

I remembered where I was behind the Sgt who brought down the Union Jack and hoisted the Fiji flag up high for the First Time. The military salute were respectable as they say good bye to Britain and honor to the Chiefs and the people of Fiji.

To day the military suppressed the people of Fiji and told the chiefs to shut up..On their guns and uniform are bloods of Fijian citizens, some are in the hospital now suffering from soldiers brutality and in human assault.

The very hands supposed to protect citizen of Fiji is putting people to the grave and admitting individual to the hospital.

With remorse and heart ache of how people of Fiji are being treated,I will wish everyone the best as we remember our date of independence.

God bless you all and Fiji.

Fiji Coup Leader, Frank Bainimarama’s Track Record & Its Relevance to the ‘Rome Statute’ By RealFiji News

The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court was ratified by Fiji on the 29th of November 1999.

The ICC will host its eighth session in the Hague in November 2009 and an invitation was given to all state parties on the 24th of April 2009 to attend. Whether this is an invitation or information for Fiji will be seen, since Sada Reddy’s ***** cat has run out of oil.

Wouldn’t this be an opportune time for Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama and his Chief Legal Adviser on their “Genocide” Roadmap, to be arrested, charged and tried for ‘genocide’ against the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma, and in particular the Chiefly system that is duty bound to protect the unique culture, customs, traditions and usage in recognition of the difference of indigenous peoples.

Well let us see the odds, by October 2007, the ICC had received 2,889 official complaints about alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in at least 139 countries, and yet by March 2009, the prosecutor had opened investigations into just 4 cases: Uganda,D.R.Congo, Central African Republic and Sudan/Darfur, all in Africa. In addition, the ICC had issued 13 public warrants of arrest, again all against Africans.” (CT New African Journal July 2009)

Now I think Voreqe could be classified as the sole Fiji African with his unethical Melanesian Wontok brothers. Then maybe we will have a shot at the ICC, but then I am just being sarcastic for once.

Whatever the case, what needs to be made clear to everybody is that the 2006 and 2009 coups in Fiji will not lead to Voreqe going to the Hague, and if you take the time to read the scope of the Rome Statute yourself you will see why.

If Voreqe follows on with his seditious lies and acts of ‘genocide’ will global human rights NGO’s including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the International Federation for Human Rights lobby for Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama’s international warrant of arrest? I think not.

I have said it before many times and I will say it again, Voreqe will enact a “Reconciliation and Unity Decree” to grant himself and his fellow treasonous soldiers and opportunist amnesty. This is why certain unethical members of the Pacific Islands Forum wish to embrace Voreqe and it is why PNG are trying their level best to oppose Fiji’s expulsion from the Commonwealth of Nations, in the disguise of dialogue so that he will get their blessings by seeking forgiveness from the people of Fiji, only after having run out of time, money and knowledge on the art of (mis)governing a fragile, isolated, poor country that he himself brought to systematic ruin and decay.

If we keep forgiving and forgetting and making people Prime Ministers and Presidents like the Africans, without executing them, then guess what, we will be back down this same path over and over again till infinity.

Do you know why they don’t have coups in the first world? It is because all those that tried and ruled in centuries past were executed either by firing squad or lethal injection and their bodies were hung naked in public so that the people and the world could see and learn an unmistakable lesson, NEVER AGAIN in FIJI

Confused Re: Fiji Human Rights Abuses post 2006 & 1987 Coup-de-tats.

If its not Human Rights Abuse Its Coruptive Activities!! How can the Fiji regime & its coup leader get it so wrong?? read more of Tish's comments re Fiji coffers!!
by Tish
Hahahaha... One tends to wonder when are they going to give up? Perhaps they will give up when they have milked the coffers dry but than again according to Reserve Bank we are in or the Govt. is in debt of $3.066 billion. according to Fiji Village News:

Govt’s debts totaled $3.066B
Publish date/time: 17/11/2009 [11:09]

The Reserve Bank of Fiji (RBF) has stated that at the end of June 2009, government's outstanding debt totaled $3.066 billion equivalent to 51.3 percent of GDP.

According to the RBF's quarterly report, this compares with the outstanding debt level at June last year of $2.769 billion or 47 percent of GDP.

However, on public finance, it has been revealed that cash flow data indicate that the government recorded a net surplus of $39.6 million, in the first five months of this year.

The fiscal outturn in the year to May was underpinned by a 2.5 percent increase in revenue collections.

The RBF stated that government expenditure increased on an annual basis by 7.3 percent, underpinned by a 16.7 percent increase in investing payments which includes loans, transfer payments and purchase of physical non-current assets.

Capital expenditure in the review period rose by 22.1 percent on an annual basis but was below target by 46.6 percent.

Compared with the forecast for the period, total expenditure was lower by 25.5 percent.

On the other hand, government revenue increased by 2.5 percent in the review period. The increase in revenue collections stemmed from annually higher direct taxes, fiscal duty, and hotel turnover collections.

Revenue collections were also higher by 6.5 percent when compared with the budgeted level.

And as we get ready for the announcement of the 2010 National Budget by Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama next Friday, he had revealed in the 2009 Budget that the government is projecting revenue of $1.522 billion.

hmmm we are so screwed 51.3 percent of the GDP compare to last years 47% GDP. Thats quite an increase. These people should realise that they dont make coups to make money. Do they even understand what the above figures mean, ignoring the 3.066B figure as that can be skewered by the censorship we must focus on the %GDP.
