Default please help.....i need legal advice...all is appreciated

my wife worked for a retail business here in greeley,co. upon accepting the offer for employment with this company; she made the employer aware of her health circumstances-(pregnancy). from the time she got hired until she took her leave it was just about six months...which is border line to receive paid maternity leave within this facility. approximately a month before she took her leave she had spoken with the store manager about her options when it came to her taking time off of work. the manager clearly stated that she didn't make the deadline to receive paid maternity leave, but that she still got the opportunity to take leave without pay, and without the worry of losing her job. well last week my wife received a call from her direct supervisor(a different manager) and was told that if she didn't return within the week she could lose her position. so that week my wife returned to work. this job bases employment status off of quotas, if you stay on top of your quotas you keep your job and you don't receive a dollar pay cut. well it just so happens that when my wife returned she didn't make her quota because she wasn't at work to stay up with it...(she shouldn't have to worry about a quota if she is on leave...)
she makes $8.00 an hour...so her salary is going to be cut this coming friday, which will put her salary under minimum wage. ulitimately, the store manager declared that my wifes last day was going to be the day of the pay cut.

before my wife had taken leave, the store manager asked her to fill out a packet to request leave....well yesterday, my wife went to go and retrieve a copy of that paperwork(which she already made a copy of) just to see if she could obtain that information through that manager...and he threw a big ole hissy fit and said that he had to get a copy from corporate...which is horse crap because two other managers had previously stated that they have a copy in the office of the store-(they personally seen it that day)...my guess is that he may be trying to tamper with what is written on the original paperwork...which is retarded because we made a copy before we turned it in...
i just want to know what our options are....i know this is discriminatory...please help me outline all of our options. your opinion is more than appreciated thank you!

You could consult your nearest Department of Labor office to briefly discuss the issue with them first...you may also want to ask the company to put what is happening in writing and explain to them that you may have attorneys review the situation...try speaking to a higher level of management about the issue; they may override the other managers. If none of these efforts resolves the issue, let us know.
