I have a very good friend who met a guy over the internet.
He is an OTR truck driver and is on the road most of the time. They met a year ago this past Nov. He lives in MO. They do not get to see each other often. Tonite she told us he was fired for asking for some time off. He was out of state on the road when they fired him and left him on his own to get back home. I do not think this is legal. To be honest, another friend and I think he is not telling her the whole story. Is it possible to fire someone just because they asked for some time off? |

It is not illegal but it would seem very odd. They could just say no, and would not normally fire him for that.
