personal issues with a co-worker outside of work
Can you be fired from your place of employment for having personal issues with a co-worker that has happened outside of work, however, you emailed each other about the issue while at work. The person has talked to other people at work about the issue. This issue however, has not interferred with job performance.

It is odd--but not illegal. Try speaking to a higher level of management about the issue; they may override the other managers. If none of those efforts resolves the issue, let WLD know.
