Unhappy Bank teller

I was told I''m to be transferred to another Office building further from my home and had no choice but to go. This was on a friday and I was told to report that monday. Is this legal? First Human Resources said its for the betterment of the Bank. HR then changed it to.... I have created an uncomfortabe work place due to a click(not spelled correctly)between myself and the manager.I did have a good work relationship with the manger due to the fact I had to fill in FT as a Head Teller on a few occasions, which had me reporting directly to her. My "filling in" lasted weeks, if not months. I also had to fill in when ever a HT took a day off or the other teller took time off as the other teller had medical excuse not to work over 20 hrs. HR did not ask any present employees if they felt the office had an uncomfortabe feel. The present employees are all shocked about this and have stated that they would have told HR that is was actually a fun place to work because of me. An ex employee called my home to tell me HR got in touch with her about the manager but asked many questions about me. This ex emp. put in writting for me that she in no way felt I made the office uncomfortable and sent email to HR as well.I am a part time employee and worked at the bank for 4 yrs and 9 mths. Human resource Dept told me they did an investigation and some past employees felt left out and this made an uncomfortable work place. My personel record is awesome! I was forced to resign! Do I have any recourse?

I think you should talk to a lawyer soon.

You can collect unemployment if you feel you had no choice but to resign or they made the job totally different or unbearable etc.

Thank you for your response, but I'm wondering in I should take it to court. The bank was transferring me because they did not or could not hold the manager responsible for this so called uncomfortable work force. Is it leagal to do this and remember the bank did not talk to any present employees. What do you think?

about 10 miles but the point is I did nothing wrong. The mgr. told me herself that she was not reprimanded at all. Why should I be transferred when I cannot control the feel of the office. I'd have to buil up a whole new clientile. Doesn't seem fair.

hmmm... they unfortunately normally are allowed to do that. Even if you don't like it.
