Am I being discriminated against and blackballed?

Greetings forum,

I have been working at Lincoln High schoolas a coach in three sports varsity Basketball, football and track. We recently had a new female AD who asked the basketball coach for volunteeres to attend the district wide meeting. The coach put my name on there and she called him down to say that I wasn't cleared to coach. I ve been coaching Varsity basketball for 7 years straight. I immediatly emailed her explaining my displeasure and curiosity as to why this was taking place. I have never had any reprimands or written disciplinary actions in my 7 years of working or coaching, and nothing is in my file. her response to me was that she hardly knew who I was and that she was basing her decision on previous supervisors reccomendations. When I asked her who these "supervisors " were , she didn't name not one perosn. So I named every last supervisor I have had both academically in the high school and every head coach who I have worked under. She still didn't name one, her response was to speak to the superintendent about these matters. I am not a part of the union, so I dont have any representation. I believe I am being blackballed or discriminated against because I am more than qualified with no criminal record and an exemplary educational background. This AD seems to have a vandetta out on me because I questioned her loyalty to the school after she was hired last year and applied to be the AD at another school in our conference 7 months later. I have never had any problems prior to this AD. She went on to say that she is not aware of the specifics, but she knows enough not to let me coach either (volunteer or paid) in the athletic dept. I applied for the varsity Head coach job last year and was the next in Line for the job and I came super prepared with a 20 page portfolio, and she gave the job to another person who quit two days later and they brought his friend in to coach with out interviewing him. Then he quit at the end of the year, so now the job is up again. I think this is another ploy to keep me away from a job that i am more than qualified for. Now she has told me to meet with the superintendent about these matters.My character is being attacked by people in the school, a defamation of character. Do I hhave the right to sue. By the way both the AD and superintendent are both gay, and I am a black male???? are they threatened??

I wish to inform you that in case of discrimination the basis of discrimination is seen. In this regard if you are being discriminated because of color, religion, sex, race, national or ethnic origin then you may file a lawsuit as regards discrimination. In this you will be required to show that you are competent for job but because of your color or race you are not being given work. Further as regards defamation you may file a lawsuit for causing damage to your reputation. In defamation you have to highlight necessary statements or acts which have caused damage to your reputation. Alternatively, you may file a complaint with EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission).
