I would have been at my job 4years on Nov. 3 2009......on Sept. 3 i received a final warning concerning my attendance(Tardiness). during so i asked it i could change my availability to 11pm because i couldn't make it on time at 1030pm(due to reasons beyond my control) well needless to say i was told that i couldn't do that but they would start scheduling me at 11pm...which was fine! so for the next few weeks since the schedule was already posted i was told to find a co worker that is scheduled for 11pm and ask them to switch with me and come in at 1030pm.....as i was told i asked a fellow co worker to switch with me....so on Sept. 9 i came in at 11pm instead of 1030pm well that following Sunday i couldn't find anyone to switch with me so i asked my supervisor if i could just come in at 11pm and was told YES!!!! On Oct.3 and Oct. 5 i agree that i was later and didn't switch with a co worker or ask to come in later.....
Now on Oct 13 i was called upstairs to the office and was told that i was last 4times and was being terminated because once you receive a final warning and accumulates 3 or more times being tardy its the procedure.........i quickly responded "to my knowledge i have only been late 2times(oct 3 and oct 5) and was told well there is nothing we can do your termination has already been approved. Is it fair that the two days in september that i was allowed to come in at a later time be held against me? |
