Depending on the employers policy, which is almost everybody, you will lose your job if you come up positive.

The drug test is the employers last way to relinquish any responsibility of any workplace accident, and if you happen to come up positive after an accident the employer is not responsible...hence no workmans comp.

Hi--if you worked for a company who allowed the employees to use drugs then that company violated the federal and state Drug Free Work Act. The employer do not have a duty to allow the drug to come out your system.

I'm not sure if Massachusetts is an employment at will state which allows employers to terminate an employee at anytime and for any reason as long as that reason is not discriminatory.
